Establishes the general duty of employers to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of employees.

Your assessor holds a QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor qualification. Course design, delivery and assessment follow the QQI specification.

Council Directive 90/269/EEC
The EU directive on minimum health and safety requirements for the manual handling of loads, transposed into Irish law via SI 299/2007.
Certificate validity
HSA guidance recommends refresher Manual Handling training at intervals of no more than three years, with reassessment sooner if the worker's role, environment or load changes. Our certificates are issued with a 3-year validity, which is the standard period accepted by Irish employers, recruiters and auditors.
