Your 14-day cooling-off rights, what disqualifies a refund, and how to request one.

Last updated: 7/31/2026

1. 14-day cooling-off period

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (transposed in Ireland by the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and S.I. No. 484/2013), you have the right to withdraw from this purchase within 14 days of placing your order, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, email hello@prohandlingireland.com from the address on your account before the 14 days expire — a short message confirming you wish to withdraw is enough.

2. Important exception for digital content

By starting the course — opening any video lesson or beginning the theory exam — you expressly request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has begun, in line with section 116 of the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and Regulation 16(m) of S.I. No. 484/2013. We make this consent explicit at the start of checkout.

3. What you can still get refunded

Even after you have started the course, you remain entitled to a full refund if: (a) you have not yet accessed any course content; (b) the course is materially not as described; (c) the platform is unavailable for a prolonged period and we cannot restore access; or (d) you bought a duplicate or wrong plan and contact us within 30 days.

4. Team and bulk purchases

Unused seats on a team purchase are refundable on a pro-rata basis for 30 days from purchase, provided the seat has not been assigned to a learner who has started the course. Assigned and started seats follow the same rules as individual purchases (section 2).

5. How to request a refund

Email hello@prohandlingireland.com with your order email, approximate purchase date, and a brief reason. We aim to respond within 2 working days and to process approved refunds within 14 days. Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe; arrival can take a further 5–10 working days depending on your bank.

6. Chargebacks and disputes

If you have a concern, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve refund requests faster than your bank. If you do open a chargeback before contacting us, your course access may be suspended pending the outcome.

7. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a refund, you can contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
